We admire section hikers—You have the challenge of getting into shape each time you start a section and have to deal with the logistics of getting to and from the trail.
We will be happy to help you start your hike at the southern terminus in Campo. Sign up with us using our google form.
However, if you are finishing your hike anywhere north of mile 43, please don’t ask for our help getting back to San Diego. We have our hands full with the hosting that we do.
Some options for getting back to San Diego:
There is a bus (891) that goes from Julian and Scissors Crossing to the El Cajon Transit Center on Fridays. There is another bus (892) that goes past Barrel Springs on Thursdays.

From the El Cajon Transit Center you can catch a trolley to downtown and then a bus or shuttle (free from the Old Town Transit Center) to the airport. There are various options for this, google maps is a good place to figure this out.
